| Cathedral Choir, Easter 2009 |
The Cathedral follows the British Cathedral musical tradition in the selection and performance of music in support of worship, whilst also taking into account Miami's cultural diversity. For more information on the choir’s extensive selection of repertoire, visit the Music Lists page on this website.
The Cathedral Choir is a mixed adult choir comprising both able volunteers and professional soloists. The Cathedral Choir sings for the Holy Eucharist at 10:00 on Sundays, as well as many Feast Days and Holy Days. A Sunday morning service typically features choral psalmody and two anthems. There are usually services during the year at which the choir sings music of a larger scale, sometimes with orchestral accompaniment.
The Cathedral Choir rehearses on Wednesday evenings and Sundays at 9:00 a.m.
The Anglican Chorale was formed in 2008 to give members of the Diocese of Southeast Florida an opportunity to sing sacred music to a high standard, specifically music of the Anglican choral tradition as sung at Evensongs. Since its formation the Anglican Chorale has sung at Diocesan services, the annual Lessons and Carols Service and committed to a regular schedule of Evensongs (twenty were sung in 2009). The formation of this Diocesan choir received coverage in The Miami Herald (click here for article).
The Anglican Chorale rehearses on Tuesday evenings and sings Evensong on the second and fourth Sunday of each month. For further information visit our webpage.
