I first visited Trinity Cathedral in the 1950's as part of a church tour by my teenage confirmation class at St. Stephens in Coconut Grove. It made a huge impression on a twelve year old who had never seem such a magnificent church.
Fast forwarding past my undergraduate days at Duke University as a history major, a time in the Chief Counsel’s Office of the Internal Revenue Service in Washington and a long career in South Florida as an estate planner, I am now semi-retired and working from home.
Church in general and now Trinity in particular are important to me. At Trinity, I see people with joy in their lives, love in their hearts and peace in their minds no matter what the circumstances of the moment.
A favorite bible passage for me is taken from the Gospel according to St. John, Chapter 14 in which Jesus says in part, "Believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go to prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also."
