Rey Romero
I was born in Miami Beach, Florida. The child of political refugees from Cuba. I was raised in Miami in the Little Havana Neighborhood. I am a graduate of Calvin University in Grand Rapids, Michigan (B.A. Political Science) and recieved my Masters Degree from St. Thomas University in Miami, Fl (M.S. Public Administration). I have worked for Miami-Dade County since March of 1989. I have been an employee of the Miami-Dade Corrections and Rehabilitation Department since 2011. I have worked for these past 13 years as a Supervisor in the Inmate Reentry Bureau.
I began attending Trinity Cathedral late in 2005 and became a regular attendee of the 10:00 AM service approximately 2 years later. Over the years Trinity has become my spiritual home and I received my Confirmation from Bishop Eaton in April of 2023. Shortly after I received training and have served as an acolyte at special services.
I have been Married to my wife Teresa for 28 years and I am father two young women, Christina and Catherine. Most recently I was recognized by Miami-Dade County for 30 years plus of continuous service to the public.
