Secretary

Thomas Gay

I was in Ann Arbor, Michigan the same week that the Beatles released their first album, Please Please Me, in mono.  As the youngest of five, growing up in suburban Detroit, I played team sports and did well in school.  I received my Master of Architecture degree also from Columbia in 1988, I met my wife, Marjorie, in 1993 and our son, Joseph, who many of you know through his service as an acolyte, was born in 2003.  We moved to Miami arriving on New Year’s Eve of 2003.  I found work with SB Architects in Coral Gables.  Shortly after arriving, Marjorie discovered Trinity Cathedral.  We were quickly drawn in by the beautiful building, the magnificent music and, most importantly, the wonderful members.  Serving here as an usher for several years has allowed me to meet and get to know many of you, and those relationships have kept me coming back every Sunday.  I come not for solace and pardon only, but for strength and renewal.  Now, it is my pleasure to serve as Secretary of the Chapter. Without doubt, we face more challenging and uncertain times ahead, but, working together as a community, and living our lives in Christ, we will all survive and thrive for better times to come.

Favorite (i.e., Most Challenging) Bible Verse: Matthew 7:13-14 Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.
